Mark your Calendars for the World Bonsai Day Festival
May 13th thru May 15th - National Bonsai & Penjing Museum
U.S. National Arboretum, Washington, D.C.
PBA is gearing up for the 2016 Potomac Bonsai Festival. This year the festival will be called the World Bonsai Day Festival as World Bonsai Day falls in the middle of this exciting three-day event -- Friday, May 13 through Sunday, May 15 2016. As usual the festival takes place in Washington D.C. on the grounds of the US National Arboretum centered around the National Bonsai and Penjing Museum.
PBA is planning a several free and paid activities including presentations, workshops and study groups. The focus this year is on educating beginners and introducing new enthusiasts to the art of bonsai. There will be daily bonsai basics presentations and beginner workshops. Existing PBA members will have opportunities to attend study groups where they can work on their existing trees under the guidance of experienced members and share information with others about their trees.
We have heard from our members that they would like to be able to know what other clubs are doing. We have added a centralized calendar to the website so you can see what your neighbors are doing and pop in for a visit! For more information visit the resources page.
We want PotomacBonsai.com to be an invaluable resource for club members by providing resources to educational materials on the web. Our bonsai links page offers an ever growing list of links to educational and instructional websites, blogs, vendors and bonsai entertainment. Check it out here.
The PBA Photo Gallery is online and we will continue to add photos. Be sure to check back often to see photos of our great club events and other PBA activities!
